If, with the landlord’s permission, the tenant should vacate the property prior to the end of a fixed term tenancy then the tenant shall be liable to repay to the landlord the balance of the agent's commission fee. This is charged at a percentage of the monthly rent + VAT (dependent on the service provided by Rawlinson Gold, this could be up to a maximum of 15% of your rent + VAT).
Typically this cost is covered by the landlord, however, should the tenancy agreement state otherwise the cost in this instance varies subject to the size of the property and further advice should be sought.
The referencing/admin fee covers costs including checking your credit status, previous and/or current employer, current or past landlords, and any other relevant checks to help assess credentials for the purposes of your tenancy application.
Rawlinson Gold do not charge a fee for creating tenancy agreements, and neither do we charge a fee for the administration associated with registering your deposit with The Deposit Protection Service.
